The devastating fires on the south coast continue to burn,destroying homes and creating havoc for communities.
The affect in Canberra has been air quality plummeting in the past week,prompting warnings about outdoor activities.

The Canberra Cavalry,Canberra Capitals,Canberra United and Tennis ACT have allcancelled major events because of the smoke and the health risks for athletes.
The AIS has closed its facilities and the University of Canberra,where the Brumbies train,has also shut down operations.
The Brumbies were due to return to training in Canberra on Monday after their Christmas break. But coach Dan McKellar has been monitoring conditions and assessing alternate options to ensure the team can train and be safe.
"Asking players to train in the conditions we have in Canberra wouldn't be thr right thing by them,"McKellar said."We've monitored the air quality closely,had advice from our doctor,and worked closely with Rugby Australia who have been outstanding in their support.
