An NRL spokesperson confirmed the Bulldogs had informed them about the matter"and it's being looked into".

Lamb told theHerald on Thursday night he was outside the"bubble"and only at training after he had handed over a jersey for Foran's special game against St George Illawarra on Monday.

"I had to drop a jersey off for'Foz'and his 200th game,I handed it to[team manager] Freddy Ciraldo and then I watched the boys run out,"Lamb said.

"I had come downstairs from the office and the players'started running out. I shook some of their hands. I had no control over that. I was paying my respects."

Lamb was in the"dirty zone"and never crossed into the players'"clean zone".

Three independent experts dubbed"COVID cops"have been allocated to each NRL club in a bid to try and prevent any social-distancing breaches such as the one involving Lamb.

Lamb appreciated the importance of following proper protocols in place but added,"I've never had a flu in my life".

South Sydney's Latrell Mitchell and Melbourne flyer Josh Addo-Carr are currently appealing their combined $50,000 fine for breaching social distancing rules while camping on the NSW north coast, while Panthers pair Nathan Cleary and Tyrone May were suspended two matches for their Anzac Day slip-up.
