Seven people, including six healthcare workers, linked to those hospitals have tested positive for COVID-19 since Saturday.
The Kincoppal student was one of two cases linked to the CBD outbreak, taking that cluster to 66. Another case was in a household contact of a previously confirmed case linked to the CBD cluster.
Kincoppal has sent year 7 to 10 students home after a resident of the boarding house tested positive to COVID-19. Year 7 to 10 boarders were sent home but year 11 and 12 students remain on site.
After two students tested positive on Saturday, all year 7 students were tested and the third case was detected in a boarder on Sunday.
All students from year 7 to 10 will learn remotely until September 21,when the boarding school will reopen.
“Physical distancing is a priority in our boarding house and we have continued to keep year groups separate,” principal Maureen Ryan said.
