Kah was sedated in March and in a critical condition in hospital aftera high-speed fall during Super Saturday at Flemington.
Racing Victoria chief steward Robert Cram said of the photos that surfaced on Friday:“We are aware of the photos and we are investigating.”
He would not be drawn on whether stewards had yet spoken to Kah.
The photos, taken with some of her closest friends including greyhound trainer Jacob Biddell, have been circulating on social media in recent days.
Kah made a statement on her Twitter account about a News Corp story published on Friday night.
“I am determined to focus on my health and recovery following my race fall in March which left me with a serious brain injury and being in hospital for three weeks. I am working hard to get back to doing what I love, and that is being a passionate and successful jockey,” she said.
“I will continue to focus on my physical and mental health and making a full recovery so I can return to racing and be the best person that I can possibly be. I won’t be making any further comment.”
