At 10pm there are four fires burning at emergency warning level:
Dozens of homes have been lost, particularly in the Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury, while one man is missing near Lithgow. The southerly wind change that passed through the state this evening has created erratic fire conditions. There were four reports of firefighters experiencing heat exhaustion during the day, while at Bilpin a firefighter was struck by a vehicle while battling the blaze in heavy smoke conditions.
A total fire ban is in place for the Northern Slopes and North West of the state tomorrow, while the fire danger rating is"high"for Sydney,Shoalhaven and the Hunter.
"There'll be a whole battle plan for tomorrow,"RFS Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons said tonight."We're looking at trying to consolidate and establish containment lines across as many fire lines as we can."
You can and. Stay safe and goodnight.
